Lotus

sacred seat, re-emerging
day by day unscathed
waxed to perfection
shunning defeat
with a nightly dunk
in murky waters

so I pretzel twist into a
state of searching
contemplation, breath-focused
looking inward to see
out and beyond
to that farther shore
